Photo Walk Description

Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010
In this photowalk, we are exploring the majestic sunset of Currimao beach famous for its coral formations, the fisherfolks as they get their catch for the day, the bancas formation at the fort and the quiet community of this coastline. We are starting at pangil beach resort as the sun goes down, try out our low light photography and as we walk along the coastline, you can try every possible subjects along the way. Play with colors of the sky as the sun sets and bounces its golden to magenta hues to the sky. Try out your low light photography as the waves hit the various coral stones along the way. Discover the simplicity and the beauty of the rural life.
I am Dr. Jose B. Orosa III from Batac City, Ilocos Norte, president of The Ilocandia Photographic Society (TIPS), and I will be your leader in this photowalk. We will chase light in this golden hour as it interacts with the elements of water, sand, people and other elements. Please wear your most comfortable footwear and shorts. Bring water and flashlight – you might want to try out light painting as well! Are you up for the challenge?

3rd Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk Website!

Last year, over 32,000 people in over 900 locations around the globe
participated. We were absolutely blown away at how many people joined
together on the same day in the name of fun and photography. This
year, we want each of you to invite your friends, family, and even
strangers to take part and help us make it the biggest and best one
yet! (Just be wary of those strangers with shifty eyes… and candy.
They’re probably up to no good ;-) ).

Now here’s what to expect between now and the big day…
May 24: Registration open for previous walk leaders
June 1: New leader and walker registration opens

July 24: PHOTO WALK!
July 31: Deadline for submitting contest photos
August 7: Deadline for local winner selections
August 14: Grand Prize, Top 10 Honorable Mentions, and People’s Choice winners announced

(All dates subject to change)
You’ll also be hearing from me right here on the Worldwide Photo Walk
blog once or twice a week with helpful tips for leaders and
participants, so check back from time to time!

And that’s it! We’re really looking forward to another great day of
photography and making new friends. See you back here for my next
blog post :-)

Blast from the Past

Blast from the Past

Blast from the Past

Established in the 16th century, Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

I was a Canon and she was a Nikon

Nikon Girl music video, the Photo Club from Joey L on Vimeo.

Nikon Girl
Lyrics-

This is a story from not long ago
about a boy and a girl who fell in love like whoa
but there was a problem I didn't count on
the fact I was a Canon and she was a Nikon

The photo community was too far gone
they couldn’t appreciate what we had goin' on
we had similar features, made similar pictures
we really weren't that different but they still couldn't see

I auto focused on her sexy body
buttons to push didn't know where to get started
I never thought I'd fall for a D200
but she was so hot, she was all that I wanted

[Chorus]
My 1DS mark III
felt more complete
when we were together she said my shots were so unique

But soon you'll see
we could never be
like Romeo and Juliette
our families disagreed

Ohh Ahh Polish my lens girl
oooahh polish my lens girl
ohh-ahh polish my lens girl
don’t leave a thumb print on that lense girl

The two sides always at war
all across the message boards
Dpchallenge what the fuck yo
they could never let go
of the hate no thats for 'sho
the Nikon gang whooped my ass and made me go

The 70-200 in my pants wouldnt fit inside her Nikon body
made me wear a UV-filter, which I'm against, but shes my shawtay
Mount her on my tripod and screw her on and off and on again
make her take my picture and say I'm the best thats ever been

[Chorus]

Cause I'm a Canon gangsta and your a Nikon shawtay
I wanna take a picture of that rockin bootay

We couldnt keep the act up we just had to face the facts
but hey look on the bright side at least we're not a Pentax
